Ajax is a town in Durham Region in Southern Ontario, Canada, has a population of over 119,677 and is in the first place to be considered as the most livable city in Canada. Ajax is known for Ajax Skating Club and the Ajax Ice Waves, a synchronized skating team, and the Ajax Scuba Club. It had numerous walking trails and has a rich culture. It was named after a battleship called HMS Ajax and is bordered by the City of Pickering.

It is a suburban town thriving economically and has a cultural flavour than other parts of Durham.
